Becoming Stronger in the Midst of Struggles

Christian greetings to you from Nairobi. As you have been following in the news and in my recent reports to you, the first half of 2008 has been a time of great turmoil and anxiety in Kenya. The wave of violence that erupted following the December 2007 presidential elections left more than 1,000 Kenyans dead and up to 500,000 displaced. Although the formation of a new coalition government has led to the cessation of violence, many thousands remain resident in temporary shelter, too afraid to return to their home communities. Applications Closed for Summer Mission Intern Program
The Mission Personnel Office of the General Board of Global Ministries is no longer accepting applications for 2008 Summer Internships, a program being revived this year.
