Remembering
Ms. Henry was one who paved the way for many in the United Methodist Women’s organization today.
Former United Nations Interpreter and former Women’s Division Director Evelyn L. Strong died January 18 in Detroit Michigan from injuries from a fall. Her memorial service was February 9 at Central United Methodist Church in Detroit.
Irene had a love for the United Methodist Church, and served on the national level with the United Methodist Women, the World Division and the Council of World Services and Finance.
